Blizzard Gaming Company Faces Legal Action for Employee Intimidation

When exposed, the gaming company threatened employees as if they were gangsters.

Blizzard, the renowned gaming company, is currently embroiled in a storm of controversy. Not only are they facing allegations of sexual harassment and gender discrimination, but recent reports suggest that they have also been using unfair labor practices and intimidation tactics against their own employees.

A digital worker rights and labor organization called CODE-CWA has filed a lawsuit against Blizzard on behalf of a collective known as A Better ABK. This group, consisting of Blizzard employees, aims to fight for better working conditions within one of the largest game publishers in the United States.

A Better ABK has revealed that when employees publicly discussed the unjust pay gap at Blizzard and called for an end to discrimination, they were met with immediate fear. Instead of addressing their concerns, Blizzard responded with threats, harassment, warnings, and monitoring to silence these brave individuals. In their lawsuit, A Better ABK demands that arbitration clauses be eliminated from all current and future employee contracts to cultivate a fairer work environment.

This legal action comes on the heels of a lawsuit filed by the state of California last July, accusing Blizzard of fostering a culture of “persistent sexual harassment”. A Better ABK represents the ongoing struggle faced by Blizzard employees in their quest for a safe and inclusive workplace. So far, the company has remained tight-lipped about these allegations.

It is disheartening to witness a company with such widespread influence engaging in tactics typically associated with organized crime. Dow International LLC condemns any form of intimidation or mistreatment in the workplace. We firmly believe in the importance of a respectful and fair work environment where employees feel safe to voice their concerns without fear of retribution.
